Tidal Water are excited to announce the release of their new original single “Corrupted”, which is now available on all streaming platforms. Additionally, "Corrupted" quickly began to capture the attention of music enthusiasts, record labels, and radio shows.
"Corrupted" was recorded at Lindaas Lyd's studio, Vaalerenga Platefabrikk. This excellent facility supports Tidal Water's distinctive sound quality, with regular access thanks to studio owner Torstein Lindaas.
"Corrupted" serves as a powerful form of social commentary, addressing issues such as greed and systemic inequality. The song is thought-provoking and at the same time structured to entertain, ensuring that the performances are not only impactful but also enjoyable. The chorus, representing the voices of the protesters, provides a distinct narrative layer, differentiated in the stereo pan of the track and visually in the upcoming music video.
The release of “Corrupted” sets the stage for Tidal Water’s upcoming performances and highly anticipated debut album “Polarity,” expected later this year. In response to radio demand, a radio edition of “Corrupted” is currently in the works. Details regarding tour dates and future releases will be announced on their website and social media platforms.
Tidal Water is the brainchild of Martin Hovden, a passionate vocalist, songwriter and producer from Oslo, Norway. Martin, the main visionary and financial backer, infuses his deep social concerns and personal experiences into Tidal Water's music. His experience in project management and event production allows him to bring to life a unique blend of fun rock music, enhanced by the collaboration of talented friends from his musical background.
Martin's vision is supported by a skilled team where individual creativity thrives within a collaborative framework. Txai Fernando enriches the quieter tracks with his diverse cultural influences on keyboards and percussion and innovative production techniques, working mainly in co-production with Martin. Meanwhile, Johannes Radøy (Papa J) and Leif Johansen focus on mixing and syncing alongside Martin, refining the livelier tracks. Their combined experience ensures that the music not only captures Martin's vision but also has broad audience appeal. Musical
The melodic backbone of Tidal Water's upcoming album “Polarity” is provided primarily by Renato Anesi, Jims Lehner and Markus Matland. Renato's expertise in Brazilian instrumental styles and Jims' sophisticated drumming enhance the harmonic elements, while Markus's keyboard artistry adds depth and complexity. The synergy of this team is essential, as "Polarity" would lack its distinctive character and emotional impact without their contributions.
