Norwegian band Tidal Water‘s latest track “Imperfection” from their debut album “Polarity” is a thrilling blend of alternative rock, funk, punk, and blues. This Oslo-based rock band has a sound that will remind you of a mix of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. They sure do have a unique sonic signature with familiar and fresh elements.

The song begins with a gritty dirty and tight rhythm section. The wah-wah soaked lead guitar licks cut through the mix with a sharp, edgy flair along with great work on the keys by Markus Matland. Renato Anesi’s bass and electric guitar work is truly fine, with wine-like guitar licks that complement the solid, metallic bass lines perfectly. The funky and heavy drum grooves, courtesy of James Lehner, form a tight, rhythmic partnership with the bass, creating a dirty rock backbone that drives the song forward with relentless energy. Tidal Water sails through rough musical seas here!

The lyrics are a rebellious anthem against conformity, urging listeners to embrace chaos and find happiness in their unique, imperfect selves.
